Being an Colour Consultant I get very excited with the latest seasons colours. I wear colour all the time, as after 10+ years of running colour analysis for my clients its totally normal to me, and importantly I know the benefits to how I look by wearing my best shades. But like anyone – I can get into a rut, and what I like about the new seasons colours is that they prompt me to look at my wardrobe and consciously consider the colour choices I have currently in my wardrobe and maybe what new items I could add this new season.
So here’s some ideas to freshen up your wardrobe this spring with some fresh colour inspiration. The big colour trends for this spring are, drum roll….…
PINK
Add a feminie touch to your outfit with a splash of Pink! I am loving these wide leg pink trousers from Next. They can easily be dressed up or down, and the wide leg is a trouser width which if you havent yet tried, now is the time to do it. It also has added comfort with an eleasticated waistband at the back – perfect for meals out with friends. This shade of pink would be great if you have a cooler undertone (and like to stand out from the crowd!). If you don’t know your undertone, then a Colour Analysis will show you

A more conservative option is this shirt by Julien MacDonald. Perfect for pairing with jeans and heels. As as you might have seen in my last blog – stripes are big news this Spring, so this is a great option right now!

GREEN
In good old British tradition the weather is keeping us on your toes – so clothing wise, layers are a good bet. This cardigan from French Connection is a perfect lightweight addition and pop of colour to any outfit.

A head to toe colour or pattern is a great way of making you look taller – so if you would like the illusion of extra height, then how about this gorgeous dress from Phase Eight. It also ticks the SS’25 sheer trend without showing too much! You can get more style tips in my Style Consultation

BLUE
Floral trend and spring blue – this sweater has it all! Wear with white jeans and sandals for a casual lunch, or with denim shorts for a good British walk. Gorgeous!

Or a smarter blue option, is this top from Mint Velvet. Perfect if you suit a darker shade of navy (you might be COOL, CLEAR or DEEP – you can find out what you are by having a Colour Analysis), and the frilled shoulder line hits yet another SS’25 trend!

RED
When looking for a splash of colour, theres nothing bolder than adding red to your outfit.
This co-ord from Crew Clothing can be worn as seperates or together to give the illusion of a dress. Checked patterns are normally a trend that makes an appearance in Winter, but this Spring has brought out a fresher look of checks to the catwalks and then our local high streets.

Don’t fancy a full red outfit? Then how about adding a splash of colour on your feet with these very on trend red adidas trainers?

All shades of trainers are trending this season, so why not consider adding a colour splash in your favourite shade?
